Media Literacy is a 21st century approach education. It provides a framework to access, analyze, evaluate, create and participate with messages in a variety of forms from printing to video of internet

Literacy is referred to the ability to read and write. Nowadays people are more on technology because now we are living in a technology world. Media Literacy uses television, radio, internet, newspaper, books, billboard, video games, music and other from of media. Some people discovered that media literacy is one way to learn easily and effectively. Media literacy engage ways to apply critical thinking skills to a wide range of issues.

Media literacy skills can help youth and adults:
-Develop critical thinking skills
-Understand how media messages shape our culture and society
-Recognize bias, spin, misinformation, and lies
-Being independent

But there are disadvantages of media literacy. Here are some:
-Being dependent

-Less use book materials (such as bible, encyclopedia, dictionary etc.)
-Illiterate in using libraries
-Being spoon-fed of informations

10 - Plagiarism

According to wikipedia
Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions and the representation of them as one's own original work. The idea remains problematic with unclear definitions and unclear rules.

For me plagiarism is an act of presenting another's work or your idea and may look it like your own idea. Plagiarism is an act of stealing of someone's works. Stealing is a crime and a crime is against the law. When you are caught stealing you will be penalized or will be in jail for a certain day/week/year. So I can say that you should stop and avoid plagiarism to avoid those incidence.

7 - SoM Week

Heeeeeeeeeeellooooooooo there ^_^

This is my last blog for Midterm :)
Enjoy :)

This is all about SoM week. This is the best part as for now in being a student and the best part of my college life.

The most memorable part of the SoM week is the Mr. and Ms. SoM pageant.

To tell you this. I'm one of the candidates of Mr. and Ms. SoM 2015
At first I was hesitant to join this pageant because I lack confidence and I have stage fright. But my classmates and the president of JPIA want me to join in the pageant because they told me that "You have potential", "You are handsome" and "We will support you" that is the time when I've decided to join the pageant. Then I told my parents about the news they told me that "Kaya mo yan. Gawin mo para makilala ka sa school nyo" and that is how I've made my final decision to join.

First the photo shoot of all the wears for the competition. Beauty shot, Casual Wear, Formal wear and Theme wear. At first I had a hard time to be a model because I had no experience on this kind of thing. This is my first time to join in a pageant and I don't know who am I competing with, who is my partner, who is the one that is putting make up on me and what is this all about.

But as the time goes by I 've get along with the contestants and the make up artist. We are comfortable in each other and as the time goes by we are getting close to each other.

This is us candidates for our theme wear

and this my theme wear costume.

Now my casual costume.

and in my casual wear I was awarded as best in Casual Wear.

This is us candidates in our formal wear

and after all those things there should be a winner. I was feeling nervous that time because it is the time to know you will be in the top 3 finalist. In that time the unexpected happened I was one of the Top 3 finalist. I was so shock that time and that time I didn't answer the question right. That's why I've been placed in 2nd runner up which isn't bad for a first timer. 2nd runner up, People's Choice award and Best in Casual Wear isn't bad for a first timer. That is the best part of my SoM week. Whoaaaaaaaaaa!

There are so much thing I've learned and overcome in joining this pageant. I've overcome my stage fright and boosting my confidence. For sure I will be known in our school after the pageant (hopefully).

After all those things the best award the we've got candidates is the gift of friendship. The friendship that we receive before and after the pageant. It is the greatest gift/award the we had in this competition.

Before to end my blog I just want to thank all the candidates for having a memorable day/week/hour/minute/seconds that we had, and to the people that supported me. My friends, block mates and family. Thank you for supporting me till the end. Thanks bbe :*

6 - Parasyte the maxim

Hello there ^_^

I'm back, making my second to the last blog for my midterm.

Parasyte centers on a 17 year old male student named Shinichi Izumi, who live with his mother and father in Tokyo. A worm like creatures called Parasites appear on Earth, taking over the brain of the human host by entering in their ears, nose and mouth. One day a Parasite attempts to crawl into Shinichi's ear while he's sleeping, but that time Shinichi is wearing a headphones and the Parasyte tries to enter to his body by burrowing in to his arms. In that scenario Shinichi is not a complete host because Shinichi stops the Parasyte to enter to his brain and in that case the Parasyte didn't get a complete hosting that's why the Parasyte hasn't have a complete transformation. The Parasyte formed in the right arm of Shinichi and Shinichi named the Parasyte, Migi.

There are two types of the movie Parasyte.

The live action movie

The anime movie

There is a scenario that Shinichi was killed by her mom. Her mom died because one of the Parasytes went to the human host and took control of her brain. Her mom become a fully develop Parasyte. In that day later that evening, her mom (with the parasyte) comes home to their house and try to kill his son. But Shinichi didn't attack her because he know that her mom is not really a Parasyte, then the Parasyte killed Shinichi by attacking his heart. In that day Migi tries to help Shinichi to live again because if the host will die the Parasyte will also die. Migi goes to Shinichi's heart to make Shinichi be alive. After a few days, Shinichi comes alive and because of Migi goes to Shinichi's heart Shinichi doesn't have now a emotions and Shinichi now has an ability like a Parasyte that he can jump in high places, can run so fast and has good reflexes.

Satomi Murano (bestfriend of Shinichi and the one he loves)
Kana Kimishima (the girl that has crush on Shinichi)

The Parasyte in live action movie has some scenario that is different to the anime movie. In how Shinichi and Migi killed the Parasyte. In the anime movie they killed the Parasyte by throwing a large rock from the other building to kill the parasyte and in the live action movie Shinichi and Migi killed the Parasyte using a long metal that is use for an arrow and Migi formed as a bow. They killed the Parasyte using a bow and an arrow as Migi.

The movie in live action is not finish yet. I will tell you how it really ends. In the live action they didn't show the best friend of Shinichi named Mamoru Uda  that is also has a Parasyte that is not fully develop like Shinichi and Migi. His Parasyte is one his lower part of his head. They are the tandem in killing all the fully develop Parasytes in Tokyo.

Here are the Parasytes that they are trying to kill.
Reiko Tamura

Hideo Shimada

Kusano

Gotou

To some it up they try to kill the the strongest Parasyte. The host has 3 Parasytes in his body named Miki.

And in the end they killed all the Parasyte by helping each other.
This is a great a movie and the best Anime movie that I've watched so far. This is the best! ^_^ I really love it.

That's all thank you ^_^
Thank you for reading my blog

5 - Turn left, Turn right

Hey ^_^

Hello there this blog is about the love story of a couple that had a hard time seeing each other.

Turn left, Turn right is a 2003 joint Hong Kong-Singaporean romance film, filmed in Taipei, Taiwan. Produced and directed by Johnnie To and Wai Ka-Fai, the film stars Takeshi Kaneshiro and Gigi Leung.

The story is based on the ilustrated book A Chance of Sunshine by Taiwanese author Jimmy Liao, who makes a cameo appearance with his wife and daughter in the film. It is also the first Chinese-language Asian film ever from produced and distributed by Warner Bros.
This is a great and an inspiring movie. You can learn many things from this movie.
First, is that you can meet your true love even though you are still young. Second, you don't know when destiny will occur. Third, is don't expect too much from love because love can hurt someone. Fourth, is don't expect too much in what you want but expect the unexpected. Lastly, love can wait. There is a right time for love because love awaits.

This picture reminds me on the girl that I love right now. Just like the first date that we had, it was raining, but we are still having fun.

This inspires me most because just like what is happening to me right now. I love the girl that I met in my first day of class in Asia Pacific College. That girl is an unexpected girl. I didn't realize that she would be so special to me right now.We are having so much time together. This is a challenge for me to overcome to know her better and to be his man till the end. I will not give up and I will show her how much I love her that's why I'm still hoping that she will be the right girl for me and the girl till the end.

Just like in the movie that the guy didn't give up for the girl she met when they had a fieldtrip and he felt love at first sight. He doesn't gives up for the girl he love and he keeps on trying to find her and when the time came he saw his true love. That is what I want to do, to not give up to the girl I love right now and till the end.

That's all Thank you ^_^

4 - Tatay Mong Kalbo

Hi There!

This blog is all about a play written by Isagani R. Cruz "Ang Tatay Mong Kalbo".

The play is played by our very own Asia Pacific College Teatr'e Phileo. Last October 9-10 (1N.H, 4N.H., 7N.H.) at Asia Pacific College, Multipurpose hall 1.
Led by: Joey Hernandez
Directed by: Revvie Congson, Cled Francis Laranang and Ara Anthonette Conza.
Played by: Marsha Beray | Mark Alwin Llanes | Aira Joyce Carpio | Shy Fajilagutan | JE Paul Monajan | Marlou Macalalad | Joshua Dave Berredo | Jericho Ramit

The play was interesting and not boring. The actors did the great job portraying their roles to deliver the roles and they made the play fun.

Thank you for the entertaining us. :)

Now, let me tell you how I understand the play. For me, on my own understanding the play is all about what is happening right now in the present time. It is how people forget the history that happens in our country and the people nowadays talk non sense. They are forgetting the important things and needs to be talked about. The important things are the history of our country how the Philippines Heroes save our lives.
