3 - Basketball is life

Hello there ^_^ Another blog? coming right up.
This blog is about what I love doing the most. I spend my past time with this and I enjoy doing this and this is my passion. Playing basketball.

So let's start the ball game.

Basketball? What comes to your mind? Just balling around? Shoot, pass, and dribble?. You think that that is the only thing that you're doing? but I can tell you that it is not the only thing that you will do and learn there.
Basketball is not just only physically but it is also mentally. You need to be physically fit and mentally fit. It is not always strength that empowers everything your knowledge can empower strenght.
You can get and learn much more in basketball. In basketball you can be physically fit to anything. You can gain muscles and so much more.

First I want to tell you how I learned to play basketball. When I was a kid I always want to do is just to play computer games and playstations and my dad is not happy in what I am doing because he said that playing computer games is not good for you, your eyes will blur and you need to exercise. But I know what is basketball in that time because I played basketball in computer games. At first I really don't want to play basketball but when I saw my friends playing and I saw my dad is good playing basketball and is known in our village as one of the best player in our subdivision that is the time that I've started playing basketball because I told my self that day that I want to be my dad. I idolize my dad that day because that is the time that they have a league in our subdivision and he played well. So in that day I told my self that I want to be like my dad and I want to be better than him someday. After that day I practice and practice and always put in my mind that I will be a famous basketball player someday. I reduced playing video games and more on playing basketball and there is a moment that the former  PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) coach from Alaska Aces decided to have a basketball clinic in our subdivision to share his knowledge and skill to us and I grab the opportunity to train and to improve my basketball skills.

Now I've learned so much from him. The best things that I've learned from him is that "There is no I in Team" "Basketball is not always skills but also using your mind" "Put your self always in the game, Focus" "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard" "Respect and Discipline".

So it says it all. First is teamwork, there is no I in team so you are not the only one can contribute to the team but the whole team should and can contribute to the team. Second it is not only your skills that will let you win but you need also to use your mind while you play. Third hard work beats talent because even you are so good at basketball but you don't work hard that doesn't make sense but when you work hard even though you are not good at basketball you are the one that is improving and while you work hard to train you also improve your skills. Lastly Respect and Discipline to others, your coach, your teammates, and especially to your self because when you don't respect your teammates and your coach they will not trust you and respect you either as well.

You can apply those things in real life. Teamwork, when you work together you can finish it easily and well. Skills are not the only one you need to use you need also your mind like in work you need both of them to finished your job well done. Hard work, when you work hard you can reach your goal and what you want. Respect, you need to respect yourself and the one you taught you something that help you the most and you should look and remember those who help you. Discipline, you need to discipline your self in doing something.

Also in basketball you can gain so much friends because playing with other people is just like communicating with them. Communicating in basketball is also one thing that you need to win the ball game. Communicating with your teammates and your coach is one to gain their trust and respect. Communicating with each other can make your plays will work. This is another thing that you can learn from basketball is learning to communicate to everyone or somebody.

So lets sum it up. The point of my blog is that basketball is not just a game. You can learn many things in basketball.

Now I am still using those things that what I've learned from basketball and to those people around me.

After I end my blog I want to thank my dad who teaches me how to play basketball, motivates me to play harder, to learn more and to support me in everything.

That's all for now. Thank you for reading my blog.

2 - Artikulo Uno

It's me again Lats. I'm making my blog again.
Now my blog is all about the movie Heneral Luna.It is a movie about a General who fights for our country and who loves our country so much that he would risk his life just to save our country from the Americans who wants to conquer our country and this is a story of how is the life of Heneral Luna and how he died. He is one of the greatest General in the Philippines.
Director Jerrold Tarog, portrayed by John Arcilla.
Produced by Artikulo Uno Productions, the film received critical acclaim from critics and audiences alike, praising its cinematography, writing, acting and plot. The film has been selected as the Philippine entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards.

Heneral Luna has valued character traits that has been shown in the movie. It is his passion and uncompromising commitment to the cause of the Philippine independence as well as his brilliance in military tactics. no less than Emilio Aguinaldo, the country's first president, described him as the best war general under him "Siya ang pinakamahusay kong heneral"

Honestly I am not a fan of history and I have no interest in Philippine history or history about something but because of this movie I realize that history is more interesting and fun rather than the movies that they are making today. In this movie I can feel the history coming through my nerves that I feel that I am in the movie. I also like the lines that they've mentioned. Here are some lines that I love "Hindi panlalait ang pagsasabi ng totoo" It is not an insult if you tell the truth. Another line is "Hindi natin sila matatalo sa teknolohiya, Pero matatalo natin sila sa taktika" -Antonio Luna on the Filipinos' chances of defeating the Americans. We can't beat them using technology but we can defeat them using our tactics. The point is that you can beat anything with your own tactics. We can also apply that line in real life like you can beat knowledge by diligence and perseverance. Another line is "Mas mahalaga ang papel natin sa digmaan kaysa sa anumang nararamdaman natin sa isa't isa" There is more important in the war than in what we feel in ewach other. "Mas magandang mamatay sa digmaan kaysa sa magpasokop sa dayuhan". It is better to die in a battle than to surrender to the Americans. He showed how he loves the country so much. "Walang nakakaangat sa batas kahit na presidente". There is no excuse int he law even the president.
The best line that he said is "Mga kapatid may mas malaking kaaway kaysa sa mga Amerikano ito ay ating sarili". Brothers, we have an enemy bigger than the Americans it is ourselves"

Artikulo Uno - Ang sino mang hindi sumunod sa punong heneral ay tatanggalan ng ranggo at ipapapatay ng walang paglilitis sa husgado militar".
Some of the soldiers call him Heneral Arktikulo Uno because when he recruited the forces of the military he always mentioned Artikulo Uno.

When you hear the line that has been said in the movie "Bayan o Sarili" (the best line in the movie) which do you prefer? Country or Family?. That is the remarkable line that touches the heart of the Filipinos. If you ask me the same question I can't choose for real. Some people may say bayan because it is the one who harbor you and you should not be so selfish. Some people may say sarili because it is hard to trust someone right now and our country is not good this day. There will be different answers for that. but for Heneral Luna he prefer to choose country.

I want you to look this picture. How much shame do you have? He is the only general that risk his life for our country and now you want to kill him?. In this picture it is like your killing the hope of the country to be free. Hands down for Heneral Luna and I honored him so much for being true to the country and risking his own life for the country.

I can now say that this is the best movie that I've watch so far.

I want to tell this to people asking "Why is that Apolinario Mabini is just seating the whole time in the movie?". Didn't you understand? Apolinario Mabini is known as the "Dakilang Lumpo"

So that's all for now I hope you enjoy my blog thank you.

Just wait soon enough you will see me playing basketball for our national team. Just kidding but we can't tell what will happen next. I was a varsity player in badminton when i was in high school. I love basketball but I became a varsity in badminton. How did that happen?. Anyway, I am a happy person, friendly, fun to be with, smart, loving, serious (sometimes) and a handsome guy. So don't hesitate to spend time with me you will not regret for having me as your friend.
I graduated in the school year 2013-2014 in Saint Francis Academy in Sucat ParaƱaque city. After graduating in high school I took up Mechanical Engineering in Mapua Institute of Technology in Intramuros Manila. After two semesters in Mapua I transferred at Asia Pacific College. The first semester so far is fun and great I hope the rest of my school year in Asia Pacific will be fun.
